Motus
Bioengineering Inc. has
developed two motion monitoring systems that each contain the necessary
equipment to begin immediately quantifying human or animal motion. These
systems are:
The
Motus

2 Solid State
Gyroscopes
- One gyro with 100
deg/sec range (with 10' cable) for fine motion measurements such as tremors.
- One gyro with 1250
deg/sec range (with 10' cable) for large motion measurements such as gait.
Custom Windows
Based Software
-
Power spectrum graph (fast Fourier transform /FFT)
- Real time strip
chart
- RMS angle rate and
position calculated
-
Sharpness of resonance (Q) estimated
- Peak frequency and
magnitude presented
- Automatic file
storage/export function
-
Patient data fields and memo capability
-
Customized reporting functions
- Vertical scaling
options including auto scale for ease in report generation
- Variable run time
Accessories
- Sensor holding gloves
that can be used on either hand. They provide additional protection
and secure the attachment of the gyro to the back of the hand and
for rotation of the sensitive axis.
- Soft carrying case for
the computer with pockets for the mouse, etc.
- 25' extension cables for
the sensor to allow for gait monitoring
- Remote initiated flash
for video time correlation
- Specialized sensor
holders for the head, legs, arms, and chest.
- Heavy duty cart with
keyboard caddy and over sized wheels.
- Isolated Analog output
module for interfacing with other data acquisition systems.
- A wireless module for taking remote data during gait and athletic performance studies. It can be used with existing systems.
